Implications of Bnl Measurement of Δa Μ on a Class of Scalar Leptoquark Interactions

چکیده

Abstarct Recently BNL have measured the muon magnetic moment anomaly with increased precision. The world average experimental value shows a discrepancy of 43(16) × 10 from the current Standard Model value. In this paper we investigate the implications of this difference on a class of scalar leptoquark interactions to SM quark-lepton pair. We also discuss the implications of the BNL measurement on the electric dipole moment of the muon and the rare decay μ → eγ.

In the framework of scalar-vector dominance we calculate the hadronic matrix elements of scalar and tensor effective quark currents induced by virtual leptoquark interactions. Combined bounds on the product of couplings and leptoquark masses are obtained from experimental data.

In this paper we study the implications of the recent high precision measurement of (g−2)μ by BNL [1] on new heavy physics beyond the SM.
